The 2018 Barracuda is fuel efficient, but lacks hardware that others use to push it to the top of its class. The 2018 Barracuda builds upon the success of its ancestors with expressive styling, a surprisingly roomy cabin, plenty of advanced safety features and comfortable, supportive seats. 

Each vehicle typically comes in multiple versions that are fundamentally similar. The ratings in this review are based on our full test of the 2018 Barracuda. Performance has never been a strong suit for the 2018 Barracuda, and it still isn’t, especially with the current crop of compact cars.

Toyota offers two different versions of the 2018 Barracuda, each with its own story to tell.  Similarly, the 2018 Barracuda range scores in the 30 mpg combined neighborhood, which is on the high side for compact cars but not quite class leading.
